There
are a wide variety of credit card terminals to choose from. There is
the traditional terminal (with or without printer), wireless terminal
and virtual or software-based terminals. But how will you determine
which of these terminals is best for your business?
</p>
<p align="justify">
Credit
card terminals are needed for a business to be able to process credit
cards securely. Most businesses let you purchase from their store via
the use of a credit card. Your card is swiped using the credit card
terminal. The customer is asked to type in his pin code and the
payment is then processed. This type of transaction is virtually safe
and secure. This is the traditional type of terminal. It includes a
magnetic stripe reader, a keypad, and a small display screen. Some
terminals come with integrated printers while others have a separate
printing device. Receipts are given to you right away and the cashier
asks you to sign it for authorization.

Another
type of credit card terminal is used for mail order or Internet order
wherein the card is not physically present. This is what is known as
the virtual or software-based terminal. Credit card information is
typed in the terminal to process the payment. If you don't have a
credit card terminal, you can process the transaction via a credit
card processing software or a payment gateway.

Wireless
credit card terminals, on the other hand, can be carried anywhere.
All of these terminals provide reliability and efficiency.

and you're all set
</li>
<li>
Although
most terminals offer the same features, it is still best to check
them out. A terminal that is able to accept all kinds of cards is a
good choice. The address verification system provides additional
security for all your transactions. Make sure that your terminal has
this.
</li>
<li>
Not
all merchant accounts are applicable with your terminal. Make sure
that you can be able to use your credit card terminal for your
account.
</li>
<li>
Terminals
are not that expensive so be wary of terminals that are priced way
too high. The cost of basic terminals range in price from $150 to
$300. Terminals with printers on the other hand can go from $200 to
$600. The be able to get the most out of your credit card terminals,
